The Classic is the original Ben's Automotive Decor engine table design — a genuine automotive engine block transformed into functional automotive art.
Each table is individually built to order in our California workshop. The engine block is stripped, meticulously cleaned and prepared before being refinished in your choice of color. Selected surfaces are brought back to bare metal, highlighting the original machining and mechanical details of the engine.
Genuine pistons and connecting rods rise from the block to support the tempered glass top — the distinctive design that started B.A.D. and remains the purest expression of our engine tables.

V8 engine blocks are our standard choice, but V6, inline-six and four-cylinder configurations may also be available.

Our highest level of commission. Bespoke projects can incorporate rare and exotic engines, completely custom structures, specialty glass, integrated lighting, cutaways, moving internals and other one-off details designed specifically for you.
Choose Your Engine
The $2,899 starting price includes an aluminum V8 engine block we select from our inventory. If you're happy for us to select an engine from our standard inventory, simply place your order and we'll take care of the rest.
Want your table to represent a particular car or marque? We can source specific engines from Porsche, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, Aston Martin, Bentley and many others.
The donor engine can have a significant effect on the final price. Specific makes, models, rare engines and exotic engines are therefore priced according to current cost and availability.
If you already have an engine or engine block with a story of its own, talk to us about using it for your table.
Choose Your Finish
Choose a color that complements your car, collection or space.
Selected surfaces are finished in bare metal to contrast against the color and showcase the original engineering and machining of the block.
The Classic uses a single-color finish. For multi-color designs and more extensive finishing, explore our Collector and Bespoke Engine Tables.
Choose Your Glass
Choose from round, square or rectangular tempered glass, typically between 20" and 34", depending on the engine and desired proportions.
We'll help determine the dimensions that best suit your chosen engine and where the finished table will live.
How Ordering Works
You can purchase your Classic Engine Table directly online.
You don't need to make every decision before ordering.
Once your order is placed, we'll contact you directly to
finalize your:
- Engine configuration
- Color
- Glass dimensions and shape
We'll then build your table specifically for you, with a typical lead time of approximately four weeks.
The photographs shown are examples of previous B.A.D. Classic Engine Tables and represent the design rather than the exact table you will receive. Because we work with genuine automotive components, every finished table has its own individual character.
The completed engine base and glass are shipped separately for safer transportation, with the glass sent directly from our glass manufacturer.
