This is a brake disc from a real car, re-created into a desk clock! The purpose of a brake disc on the car is to spin with the wheels as the car drives down the road. Immense pressure is then squeezed onto the brake disc from both sides - that's what slows down the car.
As you can imagine, the brake disc clock has a heavy, solid feel to it, being designed to do a tough and important job!
When Ben's Automotive Decor gets hold of the donor disc, it goes through an extensive cleaning process. After the raw metal is cleanly exposed, it is re-designed into a desk clock, and coated with a lacquer. This seals and protects the finish perfectly!

There is a battery cover on the back of the clock that can be easily removed when it is necessary to replace the battery.
