Built from a Real Transmission
This started with an actual transmission housing — heavy, greasy, and full of history. I stripped it down, cleaned it, and made it the base for a sink that still shows what it used to be. The case still has its casting marks and bolt holes. Nothing fake here — just real metal, reworked into something useful.
Function Over Fancy
The drain runs straight through the original gearbox casing. The car part faucet mounts where the transmission would have met the engine. The bell housing makes the perfect sink bowl. Every part that didn’t serve a purpose got cut out or capped off clean. It’s built to be tough, practical, and easy to keep clean — just like the car it came from.

This isn’t just a decoration, it’s a working piece of automotive hardware. It’s for people who see beauty in machine work, and who don’t want to hide that passion. The Transmission Sink is proof that car parts can belong anywhere — even where you wash your hands.
Part of a Bigger Build
This sink was built as part of a full automobilia-themed bathroom project. Every fixture in the space came from real car parts — engine pieces, lighting, and even hardware with original casting numbers still showing. The goal was to make the whole room feel like stepping into a clean, well-built garage, not a showroom.
