Built for McLaren USA Headquarters Trophy Room
McLaren Twin-Turbo Engine Coffee Table

Opening the Engine
"The project began with a complete McLaren twin-turbo V8 engine — a masterpiece of modern engineering. I decided to take a bold approach: cutting open the inside of the V to reveal what most people never see. The machining, the balance, the sheer complexity inside the block — all exposed and re-imagined as sculpture."

The Beating Heart
"Half of the cylinders remain intact, allowing you to see deep into the engine as you turn it over by hand. The crankshaft, pistons, and connecting rods all move together in perfect rhythm — a mechanical ballet captured in aluminum and steel. Every rotation tells the story of power, precision, and the pursuit of speed."

Finishing the Form
"The block was refinished in McLaren’s signature orange, the color that defines the brand’s racing heritage. It’s mounted within a custom-built chrome powder-coated frame that highlights the McLaren swoosh with clean lines and aerodynamic flow. The contrast between color and metal gives the piece an unmistakable energy — bold, technical, and alive."

A Collector’s Piece
Once the power unit for a twin-turbo McLaren, this engine coffee table now turns quietly by hand — a mechanical sculpture that tells its story in motion. It now resides in a private collection in San Antonio, Texas, admired as both art and engineering.
